We had an amazing time on Sunday rehearsing for the BURST gig in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 8 July. The lovely Fyfe Dangerfield of the Guillimots joined us to hear our cover of his gorgeous song, Little Bear, which we will perform during the Bury gig. We then spent time being recorded and directed by Fyfe for one of his current music projects. It was such a privilege and delight. He’s a very special person and a lovely family man.
Jamming with Mark Warner
Spent a wonderful time with Mark Warner today, jamming the ‘blues’. Mark is an awesome guitarist and blues singer from Louisiana, USA, and has been in the UK visiting friends. Mark joined us for the open music night in Toft People’s Hall, on Saturday 13 May. It was such a treat and a real surprise for our own local musicians. It was a great privilege to spend time today learning from such a master of his art. He returns to the USA tomorrow to join his band ‘Road Doctor Revue’
‘Open Live Music’ evening
I’m delighted to be teaming up with Gerry Prusiewicz and Steve Wright for the open live music session in Toft People’s Hall on Saturday 13 May.
We Are Sound
I’m really looking forward to the recording session on Sunday 14 May with the fabulous group We Are Sound under the direction of Andrea Cockerton. This is the final song to complete the groups new EP. More news when it’s available.
